Crown cracks and water leaks
Why it happens here
The freeze-thaw cycle in South Bridgewater is brutal on chimney crowns. Water gets into small cracks, freezes, and expands, making the cracks bigger. Eventually, water pours into the flue. Homes with mature trees also get crown damage from falling branches.
Our approach
We rebuild the crown with a flexible chimney crown mix that resists cracking. Then we apply ChimneySaver waterproofing sealant. This two-step fix stops leaks and prevents future damage. We also trim back overhanging branches when possible.
